When is the best time to run a soaker hose? In the day to keep the sun from completely drying out the soil, or during the night to make it so wet that the sun doesn’t dry it out so much?

If you are renting a house and you are entertaining the thought of landscaping, you should make sure that you find out if you can, by clearing it with the proprietor of the home first instead of plunging into it only to find out that you have wasted money and time because the proprietor wants the home untouched.Regardless of the extent of landscaping you want to execute, a landscaping organization is your best bet as they are professionally created to fulfill all your needs no matter their size.
Another aspect of landscaping that you should consider is getting a custom made shed. In practice you can go well beyone the typical formula of a few plants in a fancy pattern with landscaping. You can also get yourself some shed plans that will enable you to build your own shed in a very cost effective manner, but at the same time get a unique new feature for your garden.
In the event that you are opting for a landscaping company to do your landscaping for you, you should endeavor to find out the history of the company you choose, the quality of work they have done and their cost of landscaping. If you are unsure about what kind of landscape plan you want, you can try collecting landscape idea pictures as these will help you with the visual projection of what you really want; to this effect, you can borrow landscape books from the library and photocopy landscape pictures to help you along your way.
When trying to decide what landscaping organization to hire, you should assess the working staff of the organization to determine their reliability; this is because landscaping companies with a small sized staff most a times get swamped by other jobs and may fail to keep their appointment with you.One way you can decide which landscape contractor to hire is by going through a compilation of landscape projects that the contractor has executed in the past.
The secret to a successful landscape is balance and harmony therefore, in choosing a landscape plan, make sure you select one that does not clash with your home or its environments, and select plants, shrubs or flowers that blend into one entity.Balance can be incorporated into a landscape plan by having concrete blocks or stones cut in a particular shape and obtained in a color that ultimately compliments your home and personality.
You want to make sure that the landscape company you hire is one that gives you value for your money and utilizes time so, don’t select a landscape company that has its plate full.
Knowing the existing laws in your area can go a long way in helping you tailor your landscape plans to them in order to avoid any violations. Also be sure to plan well ahead of time (get your shed plans well organised etc), and you will then have a much greater lieklyhood that your landscaping project will go smoothly.
I would like to water my front and backyard at the same time. I have two garden hoses and would to connect them to one spigot.
I tried it with a v-splitter but experienced very low pressure. If I turn one side off than one hose gets enough pressure.
Any suggestions or is this even possible???
If one hose is connected the pressure is fine.
I have a tiny backyard (basically a patio with about 1" of sod perimeter). I have one of those metal tubs that are sometimes used to bathe dogs in out of doors. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to use this tub to start a teensy tiny little water garden?
Also, does anyone have any tips for creative gardening? I have a 6ft solid privacy fence that encloses my backyard. I already have flowers in a wagon (with drain holes) and pots of tomatoes and peppers and marigolds etc. I’m trying to keep everything mostly potted since the ground in my yard doesn’t drain well and it mostly clay.
Thanks!!!
PS I live in hot sultty humid ga!
I have two beds with shrubs, evergreens, boxwoods, junipers, etc, and want to be sure I am watering properly. I have the soaker house and want to see how long I should be running it, I also use the regular hose to water a bit too. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks
We’d once heard that, if the water isn’t turned off and the hose emptied, the water pressure would eventually damage the hose. We use a high quality, thick-walled hose.
(Of course we empty the hose if frost is expected, and store the hose indoors over winter.)
