the city of LA has asked that we only water our lawns on Monday and Thursday’s. I planted some veggies and fruits and thinking about buying a soaker hose so I can at least take care of what I’ve started. Do these soaker hoses work and save water at the same time?

I have a drip system and couldn’t be bothered to set up loads of separate emitters for each tree so I just connected rings for soaker hosing around the trees and let them run for about an hour every week. Is that ok? Or should I be using emitters or deep watering sticks?

House in Texas with foundation problems. Due to the dry conditions, the inside of the house is settling and causing doors to stick, drywall to crack, etc.

I know people use soaker hoses to maintain the perimeter of a house, but will soaker hoses also add moisture to the middle of the home…or is there another method I should be considering?

I’m not thrilled about the idea of installing piers, as it would be very expensive. I do have some piers already installed on the perimeter of the house.
