How many hours each day should I run my soaker hose to prevent foundation problems?
I just bought a house and it has a soaker hose for maintaining soil moisture around and beneath the foundation. During a dry spell, how many times a day and/or how many hours per day should I turn it on?

Try it for an hour. Then just check the soil and do it whenever it starts drying and cracking. Probably every day or so or maybe not that often.
3 mount at list 2 times depending on the temperature more
This is a new one on me!
I know, when you put in a concrete slab, and your ground rods are underneath it, that you lose ground, if the earth doesnt have the proper amount of moisture.
But as far as the foundation, they would rather not "have" a lot of moisture to reach it, as moisture can be a killer to any foundation….
I cant help you on this one, as its a new one on me!
I wish you well..

Rule of thumb is that you want about 1 inch of water per day, so if you water well (such as 2 inches) one day, you won’t water the next day or so. Moisture too close to your house will draw insects and cause mold and mildew; you want the area against the house to stay rather dry. Plants should be placed several feet away from the foundation. Plants should not touch your house.
